Cutting board care instructions

Acacia wood is very robust and water-resistant; correct handling can greatly increase the longevity of the cutting board.

  • Not suitable for dishwashers!
  • Before using it for the first time, wash the cutting board briefly with hot water, dry it briefly with a cloth and let it air dry for 24 hours. Apply sparingly cooking oil (preferably linseed oil) evenly to the dry cutting board using a clean cloth and let it absorb for about 5 minutes. Rub off excess oil and allow to soak in for at least 24 hours. For optimal care, this process should be repeated quarterly.
  • After use, clean the cutting board thoroughly under running water. Detergent can be used sparingly on meat and fish. Dry the cutting board with a cloth and air dry.
